Hey, happy Wednesday!
We've been busy making Capiche an even better place to learn about software this month—and have some new features to let you show off all your contributions. Here's everything new you should try:
Wikis. Editing.
If you first came to Capiche last year, you likely came to share software pricing—and learn what others pay for software. Then came software discussions, AMAs, and April's feed to keep up with everything on Capiche.
This month, Capiche's new Product Wikis bring it all together.
Each product wiki pulls in the pricing stories, discussions, pro tips, and essays about that software from the community. Alongside that, you'll find software details, features, screenshots (including hard-to-find stuff like admin screens), support contact info, alternative apps, integrations, and more. It's everything you need to know about software in one place.
Or that's the goal. To get there, though, it'll take the whole community. Each wiki section is written and approved by the community. You can join in at capiche.com/contribute by fixing any mistakes you edit, adding a screenshot, writing a new section, or voting on others edits.
And we've already added improvements. If you added an early edit, you could only guess at how your edit would look. No more. Click the Preview tab while editing to see Markdown and Capiche wiki formatting rendered as it'll look when published (and check the Wiki guide for more formatting tips).
If you haven't checked a wiki out yet, check the HubSpot, Notion, DigitalOcean, Slack, Figma, Airtable, or Superhuman wikis for some of the many great wikis already filled in. Or, check Hey's wiki for a sneak peak at a still invite-only app.
Then go check your Contribute page to see where you can jump in on wikis for the software you follow. We can't wait to see what you add!
Profiles. Badges.
A comment here. A question there. A wiki edit and suddenly, you've done a ton of stuff on Capiche.
Our new profile pages are the perfect place to see everything you've done on Capiche, along with the badges you've been awarded for contributing to the community. You can click through to discussions to see what more has been said, glance at how many upvotes your comments got, and reply to comments on others profiles. Just click My Profile in the top right of Capiche to check out your new profile page.
The badges may be the most fun part. And now, there are more exclusive First Commit badges for the first person who adds an edit to a new product's wiki. Only one person will ever get each product's badge—so next time you see a new Capiche product wiki launch, jump in and add an edit to grab the badge before it gets away!
And more.
While we were at it, we also went back to the drawing board and redesigned our Capiche homepage. It now showcases all of Capiche's community features, and the great content everyone's sharing. Now that you can join Capiche with just a Twitter, Google, or LinkedIn account, it's the perfect place to send your friends who you know would love to join in.
Got any thoughts? Anything you're loving on Capiche—or things you would like to see changed? Reply and let us know—we'd love to hear from you!
That's all for now. See you in Capiche!
