OKR or not.

Write a goal and pin it above your desk. That’s enough to keep what you're working towards in mind.

You could take the goals further, by listing key performance indicators to mark success. Or you could work Google-style with objectives then a list of key results to help you hit them (don’t forget to overestimate and shoot for the stars).

Then you could write a checklist. Build a workflow in a kanban board. Connect tasks and time into a waterfall Gantt chart. Or just make a graph and guesstimate how far along you are, Basecamp style.

There are ever more ways to set goals—along with software designed to help you manage goals. Which goal-setting systems actually work best for your team, and what tools do you use to set them?

What’s the best system to set goals and hit them?
