Important Next Steps

Once you have logged in and created your new PIN, log into CONNECT and complete the following:

  1. Additional Information Requested - If we need more information on your claim, you will see a message requiring you to update your application. To do this, select “Apply for Reemployment Assistance Benefits” to add the information we need to complete your claim.
  2. Payment Method – You will receive benefits via debit card unless you provide your banking information, so we can make a deposit directly into your bank account. While in your CONNECT account, you can update your payment information by going to “View and Maintain Account Information” from the main menu and then selecting “Payment Method and Tax Withholding Options.”
  3. Federal Tax Withholding – These Reemployment Assistance benefits are taxable by the IRS. You may elect to change your Federal withholding while in your CONNECT account by going to “View and Maintain Account Information” from the main menu and then selecting “Payment Method and Tax Withholding Options.”
  4. Notifications – The Reemployment Assistance program can send you notifications about important updates regarding your claim. You can turn these notifications “on” or “off” by going to “View and Maintain Account Information” from the main menu and then selecting “Notification Settings.” On this page, you can select how we can contact you.
  5. Contact information - It is very important that we have accurate contact information for you. You can update your contact methods by going to “View and Maintain Account Information” in the main menu and then selecting “Contact Information.” On this page, you can update your address information, phone numbers, and email.

*Please Note* If you are ineligible for state Reemployment Assistance benefits and your loss of employment was a direct result of COVID-19, you will receive a link to apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance. Click here to view more information on Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.

In an effort to ensure users have a positive experience utilizing the CONNECT system and are able to complete their tasks in a timely fashion, DEO has launched a Virtual Waiting Room for the CONNECT system. If the CONNECT system has met its maximum number of users when you try to log-in, you will enter the CONNECT Virtual Waiting Room providing you the opportunity to reserve your place in line while other claimants access the system.

Please note that DEO will be conducting nightly maintenance to the CONNECT system to process claims and payments. CONNECT will be available from 8 a.m. to 7:59 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday. We dedicate all system resources on Saturday and Sunday to processing payments, and the system will re-open on Monday morning.
