Your best protection is to be well-informed and here are some tips to help keep your transaction safe. Good judgement is the best advice for avoiding fraud.
Our company will never:
- Act as a broker or get involved in buyer-seller transactions
- Send you an email regarding transactions on a vehicle posted on our site
- Offer a buyer protection program or transaction insurance
Watch out for some of these 'Red Flags':
- Never accept an overpayment for your item. Fraudulent buyers may claim a previous purchase fell through or they are sending an overpayment in order to pay for shipper.
- Beware of Text Message Fraud. Many fraudulent buyers will use text messaging as the initial contact in order to bypass our email seller filters.
- We will never send an email or text message asking for log-in information. These are phishing attempts to obtain your user name/password. Fraudsters want to take over your account / listing in order to scam buyers out of money.
- Beware of any buyer willing to purchase your item sight-unseen, especially if they state that they are overseas or out of town on business.
