I go to the movies a few times a month, more often than not by myself. I’ll see almost anything, sometimes twice. I never even considered going solo until I worked in a cinema in my early 20s and noticed how many people comfortably did it. It’s truly a meditative experience - once the movie starts, you can’t go on your phone or think about anything else until the credits roll. Heaven. Bonus points if it’s an independent cinema.

I’ve always been a fan of Kiki but I feel like she’s having a renaissance at the moment and I’m here for it.
